About the role
As Building Services Manager, you will directly report to the Engineering & Operations Manager and will provide building and facilities management services. You will also assist the Operations Manager and management team in contracts administration, compliance, and contractor management services with a focus on client, tenant, and stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contractor Management: Provide support in the Management of Contractors maintenance schedules, adhoc repairs and compliance requirements as per agreed contracts for services that may include but are not limited to Handyman, Auto & Roller Doors, Lifts, Mechanical, Fire, Plumbing, Electrical, Window Cleaning & BMU, Security, Access Control & CCTV, I.T. and Telecommunications services.
- Property Audit and Risk Management: Management of the preparation, and subsequent action items resulting from site audits.
- Management of Tenant Movement: Management and coordination of tenant’s movement into, out of, and within the building along with administering tasks for the setup and establishment of new tenants to the building and associated introduction requirements.
- Fitout Management: Assist the Operations Manager with associated tasks for management of tenant’s contractors conducting fitouts within the building.
- Reporting: Assist the Management Team with associated required tasks and reporting requirements.
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll need at least two years’ experience in commercial property and facilities management. A solid understanding of local health and safety regulations is essential. Familiarity with basic technical aspects of property, such as central plant, fire protection, mechanical, electrical, building management, and lift systems, is beneficial. You should also be able to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
