About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Bid Manager to take charge of the management and delivery of compelling, high-quality tender responses, proposals, and bid presentations. Working closely with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, this role ensures the creation of premium standard business documentation, including EOIs, tenders, business proposals, and presentations.
As the Bid Manager, you will also manage and maintain content within the tender library and be involved in developing key strategies for business growth. This is a dynamic role suited for an individual with a passion for business improvement, growth, and proven experience in bid management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the bid process from start to finish, including bid strategy and debrief sessions.
- Develop and maintain non-technical content, edit technical schedules, and ensure submission deadlines are met.
- Review and analyse client documentation, such as scope of works, specifications, and service agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to prepare successful bid responses.
- Lead the development of business proposals, presentations, quotes, and tender documents.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with the company’s vision, values, and brand.
- Support the Sales/Growth team with market analysis, competitor intelligence, and industry trends.
- Contribute to innovation, thought leadership, and knowledge-sharing forums.
- Suggest improvements to tendering processes and systems to enhance performance.
- Keep up to date with industry knowledge and trends through networking and professional development.
Skills & Experience Required
- Demonstrable experience in bid management, including the preparation and submission of high-quality tenders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail in professional writing and editing.
- Ability to meet deadlines and balance competing priorities.
- High level of commercial awareness, with the ability to conduct thorough research and analysis.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and driven to exceed business targets.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher).
Desirable Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in a related field.
- Leadership skills and the ability to support team members in achieving business goals.
